Installation Steps

Safety Precaution

Following the manufacturer’s instructions, ensure the firearm is unloaded. Visually inspect and physically confirm that the chamber is clear before proceeding.

Secure the Barrel Extension Tool

Place the barrel extension tool in a sturdy vise and tighten securely to prevent movement during installation.

Remove Existing Components

Refer to the host weapon’s user manual and carefully remove the existing flash hider, muzzle brake, spacers, shims, and/or washers from the firearm .
Do not reuse the removed shims, spacers, or washers.

Clean Host Firearm Muzzle Threads

Use a cleaning cloth or brass brush to thoroughly remove any debris and residue from the muzzle threads.

Degrease Threads and Clean Adapter

Apply acetone or a degreaser to the muzzle threads of the host weapon’s barrel.
Additionally, use a cotton swab with acetone or degreaser to clean the internal threads of the adapter.
Ensure all surfaces are completely dry and free of contaminants, as Rocksett will not adhere properly if any residue remains.

Clean Q.D. Muzzle Suppressor Adapter Threads

Use a brass brush to thoroughly remove any debris and residue from Q.D. muzzle suppressor adapter threads.

Final Cleaning of Adapter Threads

Additionally, use a cotton swab with acetone or degreaser to clean the internal threads of the adapter. Ensure all surfaces are completely dry and free of contaminants, as Rocksett will not adhere properly if any residue remains.

Dry Fit Installation

Begin by threading the Kryon F Adapter onto the barrel threads by hand. Using the wrench flats on the adapter, apply torque to fully seat it against the barrel shoulder. If you are installing a QD suppressor, torque the adapter a few foot-pounds beyond the QD adapter manufacturer’s recommended torque value to ensure optimal security and performance of the Kryon F Adapter.

Install KRYON Shroud

Thread the Kryon shroud onto the F Adapter, noting the orientation of the access ports relative to the 12 o’clock position when viewed from above.
Placing the masking tape on the adaptor to mark the tube ending position when fully threaded on.

Adjust Orientation Using Shims

Add the appropriate shims to the barrel threads, placing them between the barrel shoulder and the Kryon F Adapter.
This adjustment will allow you to achieve the desired alignment when reinstalling the components

Torque the KRYON F Adapter

Torque the Kryon f adaptor to the barrel. Remembering to apply a couple of foot pounds more than the suppressor adaptor being used.
Please refer to suppressor adaptor manufacturers instructions.

Install KRYON Shroud

Now that the desired KRYON shroud access port orientation is achieved, Remove KRYON shroud from F adaptor

Install QD Muzzle Device

thread the degreased QD muzzle device onto the barrel.

Adjust Muzzle Device Orientation

If needed, add shims to the KRYON Adapter threads to achieve the desired orientation of the QD muzzle device.

Apply Proper Torque to Muzzle Device

Refer to the QD device manufacturer’s guidelines for the appropriate torque value to ensure proper installation.

Prepare for Rocksett Application

Now that the correct orientation of the QD muzzle device has been achieved, Loosen the muzzle device from the Kryon F Adapter, as well as the KRYON F Adapter from the host barrel.

And apply rocksett to both the barrel threads as well as the 1/2×28 set of threads located on the kryon f adaptor.

Final Torque Application to KRYON F Adapter

After determining the QD muzzle device manufacturer’s recommended torque value, apply that torque value to the KRYON F Adapter when installing it onto the host barrel, then add a few additional foot-pounds of torque.

This extra torque will help ensure the KRYON F Adapter remains securely in place when the QD muzzle device is torqued onto the Kryon F Adapter.

Reinstall QD Muzzle Device

Thread the degreased QD muzzle device onto the KRYON threads. If needed, reinstall the shims on the KRYON Adapter threads to achieve the desired orientation of the QD muzzle device. Refer to the QD device manufacturer’s guidelines for the appropriate torque value to ensure proper installation.

Install QD Suppressor

Using your QD suppressor, carefully install the suppressor into the QD adapter and fully seat it.

Check Suppressor Alignment

Once installed, check for proper alignment using an alignment rod. If the alignment is correct, the suppressor is ready for use.

Allow Rocksett to Cure

Allow the Rocksett to cure for 24 hours before firing the host weapon to ensure a secure and stable bond.

If alignment is correct, the system is ready for use after curing.

If alignment is incorrect, do not fire the weapon
